A bit about me
PLATECOMP
Hi, I'm Dhananjay. I'm a compositor who cares about the little things that make a shot feel real.
I've spent the last three years compositing for film and television, from Netflix dramas to BBC series. My route in started with rotomation on Cats in Mumbai, then a degree in VFX and Motion Graphics at the University of South Wales, and a few good years at Gorilla VFX in Cardiff learning the craft properly. Now I'm freelance and open to all kinds of compositing work, whether that's features, series, commercials, music videos or indie shorts.
I like working closely with supervisors and other departments, I take notes well, and I'm always happy to jump on a call and talk through a tricky shot.

What I bring to a shot
2D compositing
Shot finishing in Nuke, from first slap comp to final delivery, bringing plates and elements together cleanly.
Cleanup and paint
Rig, marker and wire removal, patching and clean plates that hold up frame after frame.
2D and 3D tracking
Solid tracks in SynthEyes, Mocha and Nuke, plus matchmove when a shot needs it.
Keying and despill
Clean keys on blue and green screen, holding onto hair and soft edges, with proper despill.
Grain, lens and colour
Matching grain, defocus, aberration and colour so nothing gives the trick away.
Pipeline and notes
At home in ShotGrid and ftrack, quick to turn notes around and good with versioning.
